You're Thinking of Blazers All Wrong: The Difference Between Blazers and Which Ones Really Elevate Your Style

Add This Blazer to Your Style...
Sydney Mazur

A blazer is an interesting item of clothing in women's fashion. It is often not considered in most ladies' closets and sure, they aren't for everyone, but can they immediately elevate your style? Yes... and No. It all depends, it depends on shapes, cuts, styles, and of course personal preference. Keep reading to learn which kind of blazer can easily transform your style.

You're thinking of Blazers all wrong!

Most times, when I mention blazers, I see the look of disgust form on the person's face. I continually get, "are you a lesbian?" or "blazers are so ugly"... no and yes, sometimes. Many peoples' view of blazers stem from public figures such as Hilary Clinton, and to be honest with you, that ain't it. What i'm trying to say is that people imagine a certain style of blazer that is actually something that is very ugly, so i agree with these people in that sense, but i am talking about a different blazer. Here are some examples of blazers that i bet most of you see when you think 'blazer':

These blazers are simple business blazers, which some can pull off but not most, and they are honestly super unflattering. The first issue i have is with the length; they are extremely short. They shorten the torso and give it a boxy, masculine look, so they are basically shortened and uglier versions of male blazers. This is not what i mean.

Here are some examples of a blazer I'd be talking about:

The double-breasted longline blazers. Because of their length and straight shape, you are able to wear any shape pant with them and they will still look fashionable. They dress up any outfit immediately elevating your style and making you look 10x more presentable without the unflattering business blazers.

And GUESS WHAT?! THEY'RE COMFORTABLE TOO! Blazers with this shape offer comfort as they are not fit to your body and they are longer in length. Paired with a simple pair of plain leggings and a tank, you get the maximum amount of comfort while still looking presentable. They make jeans, leggings, and even fashion sneakers look professional and presentable without the 'manly' look and the uncomfortable feeling.

I've been wearing these blazers for years and have a huge collection of them by now. I'm not trying to sell them. I'm trying to share them with you guys. Business and professional fashion is changing so much and a more casual outfit paired with a comfortable oversized, double-breasted blazer is very acceptable.

Move away from the blazer stereotype and open yourself up to a fashionable addition to your outfits!

These types of blazers do not have to be expensive either, below i'll link a few websites that i like to shop for these blazers: Be sure to look at the sale options as well!
